Sponsor us in the Marie Curie Swimathon

posted 19 Feb 2011, 13:49 by Jaco Eygelaar

Farrow Tri Club is taking part in the 2011 Swimathon, the world's biggest fundraising swim, with all funds raised going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

We'll have people doing all sorts of impressive swimming feats.  Fly definitely seems to be the flavour for this year, so some will be going to going for an impressive 100 lengths of fly in an hour.  Others will do ironman distance swims, 5km swims, personal best times, and so much more.

All and any support will be appreciated.

A few of us have entered already, and there are only 40 places left out of the 300 available at the time of writing.

Neil finishes Ironman Lanzarote

posted 5 Jun 2010, 13:36 by Jaco Eygelaar   [ updated 5 Jun 2010, 13:55 ]

Well done to Neil who has just finished Ironman Lanzarote.  This is the hardest Ironman in the world + coming from our cold weather this winter to race an Ironman in the heat is a superb achievement.

WELL DONE IRONMAN NEIL
